    The detroitsports-mcw.com squad dropped a pair of high-scoring, 1-run,
heartbreaking decisions to the Warren Cardinals on T 6/28/11.

Cardinals       21-25-2, 12-LOB.....(6-INN, Time Limit)
MCW              20-24-1, 9-LOB

The MCW team played perhaps its best game of the season, yet fell one
run short on a controversial dead-ball/infield fly umpire's call in the B-7th that
voided the tying run. The MCW made just one error and pounded out two dozen
hits. On a night where the brisk wind was blowing out, both teams reached their
two homerun limit in the 1st-INN. Steve O'Toole went 4-for-5 with a double, homer,
2-R and 4-RBI. Harry Penczak was 3-for-4 plus 1-W with a double, homerun, 2-R &
3-RBI. Brent Proffer was 2-for-5 with 2-R & 4-RBI. Ed Kaltz and Matt Buzzitta were
both 3-for-3. Kaltz had 3-R, a double, triple and 1-RBI. Buzzitta had a double, 2-R
& 2-RBI.

MCW               19-23-6, 9-LOB
Cardinals       20-25-5, 10-LOB.....(6-INN, Time Limit)

The loss of the nightcap hurt more than the game one defeat. Leading 11-4 after
an 11-R/T-2nd, the MCW squad fell behind but battled back to go on top 19-17 by
breaking a 17-all tie with a 2-R/T-6th. With the game on time limit, the Cards scored
three times without making an out in the B-6th to earn the victory. Harry Penczak
concluded a great night at the plate by going 5-for-5 with a homerun, 3-R & 4-RBI.
Ed Kaltz was 4-for-5 with 2-R & 2-RBI. Greg Polisano went 4-for-4 with a double, 4-R
& 1-RBI. Brothers Brent and Brandon Proffer had 3-RBI each.
