Mon 08/18/08.....Hitmen     3-8-2, 8-LOB
                              DPC        10-18-3, 10-LOB
The Clubbers opened the Jacket Tournament by topping the Hitmen 10-3. Other than a 2rHR,
the Hitmen didn't hit much. Meantime, the DPC scratched for runs to snap a 3-all tie with a 4-R/B-4th, then add insurance markers in a 3-R/B-6th.
3Bman Greg Polisano made up for a trio of errors by going 3-for-3 with 2-R & 2-RBI. SStop Mike
Girecke led five Clubbers who went 2-for-3 with a 2B & 3-RBI. Pitcher Gary Lesnau twirled an 8-hit,
no-walk complete game and retired the side in order in the T-7th to close it out.

Mon 08/18/08.....Buffalo Wild Wings     10-14-1, 9-LOB
                             DPC                             11-16-5, 8-LOB
The DPC gave a lackluster effort in the "Second Place Trophy" game from league play...Until
the final inning. Five fielding miscues helped give The Wingers four unearned runs, three of the
errors coming in Buffalo's biggest inning, a 4-R/T-4th.
The Clubbers suddeenly came alive with the hammer in the B-7th, scoring seven times in their
final at-bat, all the runs coming with 2-out. With 2-out and 2-on, Greg Polisano, Mike McBride,
Nick Evanoff and Mike Gireucke all had RBI-1Bs. Joel Crawford then put the game to bed with a towering 3-R walkoff homerun over the LField fence.
McBride went 2-for-2. Four others, including winning relief pitcher Harry Penczak, all went
2-for-3.

Tue 08/19/08.....Butch's Original Bulldogs     20-13-0, 6-LOB.....Flip-Flop Mercy
                             COBRA KAI                              5-10-0, 5-LOB
Too many free passes (13-W) doomed the second season Liberty Park developmental
squad for a second consecutive week. The Cobras trailed 8-0 before they came to bat
and fell 20-5 in a mercy-killing to Butch's Originals.
Mike Duda and Gary Marty were both 2-for-2 with a double, Duda getting 2-RBI and
Marty 3-RBI. Although he allowed a pair of inherited runners to score, Marty was the only
one of the three C-Kai hurlers who wasn't charged with a run.
Former teammate Brian Ivy went 2-for-4 with a double for the Bulldogs.

Thurs 08/21/08.....DPC            7
                                3 Nicks     25
The Nickleheads sent repeated shots over the wall in this mercy-kill. Joel Crawford hit
a 2rHR (his second dinger in as many games) and had 3-RBI.
