Brendan Gallagher scored twice in the middle period to give Les
Canadiens a 3-1 lead on the way to Montreal's 4-2 home ice win vs the
Red Wings Monday night.

Gustav Nyquist and Tyler Bertuzzi both had a goal and an an assist for

An 0-2 Original Six/Canadian road trip gave the Wings a 1-12-1 record
in their last 14 games.

Gallagher (#29) broke a 1-all tie by banking a wide angle shot off the
skate of Detroit DEF Danny DeKeyser and through goalie Jared Coreau's
legs at 4:27/2.  Gallagher (#30) made it 3-1 at 9:32/2 when his tip-shot
trickled behind Coreau and when the goaltender lay down to try and trap
the puck he instead squeezed it over the line.

Montreal's other goals both came on power plays.  Paul Byron (#19)
backhanded at 18:11/1 for a 1-1 tie.  Alex Galchenyuk (#18) swept
in a loose puck from the blue ice at 15:34/3 for the 4-2 final.

Nyquist (#20) got Detroit on the board first at 4:41/1 when he snapshot
a left corner pass from Henrik Zetterberg from the lower right circle to
beat Habs netminder Carey Price on his glove side.

Bertuzzi (#4) swept in a rebound from the right corner of the crease
to get the Wings within 3-2 at 13:41/2.

Coreau made 27-SV and Price 26.

Bertuzzi and Montreal's Charles Hudon were both given 2-mins for
roughing and 10-min misconducts for a scuffle with 2:56 remaining.
Bertuzzi went after Hudon after the Hab had low-bridged Zetterbrg in
the corner.  Curiously, Hudon was not penalized for the dirty hit even
though he knocked down one of the referees in the process.
