With the exception of three homerun blasts, Monday afternoon was
a quiet ending to the Tigers' 82nd spring training in Lakeland, FL with
a 2-all/9-INN tie vs Tampa Bay.

Detroit's fifth deadlock of the Grapefruit LGE schedule left the
Bengals with a 12-15-5 record and one game to go in Tuesday's rematch
with the Rays at Tropicana Field.

Daniel Robinson led-off the ballgame with a double and trotted home
when Brad Miller sliced a 2-out, windblown, opposite field 2rHR (#1) down
the LField line off Tiger starter Francisco Liriano.

The Tigers countered when JaCoby Jones led-off the B-3rd with a homer
(#2) just shy of the LCField Corona Cabana and on a 2-out/B-6th solo shot
from James McCann (#1) halfway up the LField berm.

    Liriano stretched-out to 6-IP to yield 2-R/2-ER on 6-H, 2-W & 1-HBP
with 6-K on 100-pitches/64-strikes.  Shane Greene and two TigerTowners
tossed a scoreless relief inning each.

T-Bay starter Nathan Eovaldi likewise went 6-IP to permit 2-R/2-ER on
7-H & 1-W with 4-K.

Jones was 3-for-3 at the plate and McCann & Miguel Cabrera (.368-BA)
were both 2-for-3

      TBR       2-5-0, 6-LOB
      DET       2-8-1, 6-LOB...9-INN/T
