Michael Fulmer flashed his All-Star form on the mound and Bengal
bats boomed as the Tigers trounced Atlanta 10-3 Sunday afternoon.

Fulmer went 7-IP on 91-pitches/53-strikes in easy fashion, allowing
just one walk and a pair of infield singles.  All three baserunners were
erased on a pair of caught stealings and a line drive double play.

Fulmer (W, 1-1) fanned three and lowered his Grapefruit LGE ERA to
2.12 in 4-GP & 17-IP.

Seven consecutive basehits began the B-2nd for a half dozen Tiger tallies
off Braves starter Mike Foltynewicz (L, 2-1), the first of five Bravos hurlers.

Dixon Machado plated Mikie Mahtook with a bases-loaded single.  Leonys
Martin followed with a 2-run double to RField.  Jeimer Candelario did likewise.
Miguel Cabrera's RBI single drove home Candelario to make it 6-0.

Cabrera soloed (#3) off the back wall of the Tiger RCField bullpen in the
B-4th.  Jose Iglesias solo homered (#1) to the lower CField berm in the B-5th
for an 8-0 score.

With minor leaguers finishing out the game for Detroit, A.J. Simcox
beat out a 1-out single to deep SStop and scored when Chad Sedio bounced
a triple off the CField wall.  Sedio trotted home on a Daz Cameron sac-fly
for a 10-0 bulge.

Daniel Stumph followed Fulmer with a perfect T-8th.

Alex Wilson worked the T-9th and was scored upon for the sixth time
in his half dozen exhibition outings, yielding 3-R/3-ER on 3-H to actually
lower his ERA to 13.09.  Rio Ruiz had a sac-fly, Danny Santana an RBI triple
and Santana scampered home on a wild pitch.

Iglesias was 3-for-3 and Martin & Cabrera 2-for-3 at the plate.

      ATL       3-5-0, 0-LOB             (L) Foltynewicz, 2-1
      DET       10-17-0, 10-LOB       (W) Fulmer, 1-1

The Tigers outrighted LHP Blaine Hardy to 3A Toledo Sunday after he'd
cleared waivers.  Hardy had bounced between Detroit and the Mud Hens
the last four years.  Hardy's deletion from the 40-man roster seemingly
opens a spot for ex-Minnesota Twins UTIL Niko Goodrum to make Detroit's
Opening Day 25-man roster.
RHP Johnny Barbato's longshot bid to make the team as a bullpenner
has been put on hold.  The former Pittsburgh Pirate and New York Met
will remain on extended spring training in Lakeland due to tightness in
his pitching elbow.
