@ HOUSTON, TX:

    Seeking a rare third straight
road win the Pistons extended
the Rockets to overtime before
dropping a 100-96 decision at
Houston Thursday night.

    James Harden scored six
straight points on a 3-point play
and three more free throws to
break a 90-all OT tie.  P.J.
Tucker's tip-shot concluded an
8-0 Rockets run to put the score
at 98-90 with 21.4-sec remaining.

Only 2-of-16 shooting in regulation, Harden had 10 of Houston's 12-P in
overtime.

The Pistons trailed by nine with 4:26 on the clock in the 4th-QTR.  Blake
Griffin made a layup to start an 11-0 run.  Luke Kennard had four points in
the surge, including two free throws that put Detroit up 88-86 with 1:33
showing.

Tucker was awarded a layup with 30.5-sec left in regulation on an Andre
Drummond goaltending call that tied it at 88 and forced the overtime.

Eric Gordon had a game-high 22-P and Harden 21 for Houston.  Joe
Johnson added 11-P.  Tucker & Clint Capela each had 10-P and Capela
grabbed 14-RB.

Griffin triple-doubled (the first Piston to do so since 2015) with 21-P,
10-RB and a game-high 10-A.  Ish Smith had 18-P off the bench.  Drummond
scored 17-P with a game-high 20-RB.  Kennard totaled 14-P and Reggie
Bullock 12.

In his second game back from an ankle injury, Reggie Jackson had
4-P & 3-RB in 20-mins for Detroit.

Houston's Chris Paul sat out with a sore left hamstring.

The teams combined to miss 71 3-point tries with Houston hitting
12-of-51 and Detroit just 6-of-38.

The Pistons concluded a 2-4 western road swing.  At 32-40 with 10
games left the Pistons are five and a half games behind Milwaukee for
the 8th and final NBA Eastern Conference playoff position.

Atop the Western Conference at 58-14, Houston won its seventh in
a row.
