    Michigan put away the Aggies
early in a 99-72 Sweet 16 victory
vs Texas A&M Thursday.

    Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman
scored a co-game-high 24-P by hitting
inside (5-of-9) and outside (4-of-7)
shots while going 2-for-2 at the line
for the M-Men.  He also passed out
a game-best 7-A.

    Moritz Wagner, who scored a total
of three first half points in his last
three games combined, had eight of
Michigan's first 14 points and finished with 21-P.

    Charles Matthews added 18-P, Zac Simpson 11 and Duncan Robinson 10
for Michigan.

    The Wolverines scored the game's first 5-P, quickly pushed the margin
to double digits at 16-6 and led by as many as 29-P at 52-23 on Robinson's
3-pointer 2:16 before halftime.  UM settled for a 62-28 bulge at the break.

    Michigan shot 57.1% (20-of-35) from the field including 62.5% (10-of-16)
beyond the arc in the first 20-mins while holding a 10-1 turnover advantage
producing a 15-0 differential in points off turnovers.    

    The second half was a foregone conclusion.

    Tyler Davis led the Aggies with a co-game-high 24-P and a game-best 8-RB.
Robert Williams scored 12-P and Admon Gilder 10-P.

    With a 12th consecutive win third-West-seeded Michigan became 31-7.
Seventh-seed Texas A&M finished 22-13.

    Michigan advanced to Saturday's Elite Eight to face Florida State.  The
9th-seeded Seminoles upset #4-seed Gonzaga 75-60 in the other West Region
semi-final Thursday night.
