@  CALIHAN HALL:

    Tre'Shaun Fletcher hit a fade-away
3-pointer from in front of the Toledo
bench to give the Rockets an 89-86
win over the Detroit-Mercy Titans
Wednesday night.

Fletcher had fouled UDM's Josh McFoley 2.6-sec remaining and McFoley
made both free throws to tie the game at 86.  After the long in-bounds,
Fletcher fired his 3-ball over McFoley's outstretched arms.

Down 13-P at 76-63 on a triple by UT's Marreon Jackson with 5:42 to
go, Detroit had outscored the visitors 23-10 to tie the game 86-all including
McFoley's 4-point play for an 83-82 deficit with 50-sec left.

McFoley was game-high with 24-P including Detroit's last 8-P.  Corey Allen
& Karon Chatman both added 17-P and Jermaine Jackson Jr. had 11-P.

    Fletcher finished with 16-P, a game-high/career-high 15-RB and a co-game-
high 6-A.  Jaelan Sanford topped Toledo with 23-P and matched Fletcher's 6-A.
Luke Knapke had 15-P,  Jackson 14 and Nate Navigato 10.

Detroit-Mercy head coach Bacari Alexander was back on the sidelines
for the first time since the season opener.  At first listed absent for personal
reasons, eventually UDM confirmed Alexander had been suspended.  Alexander
sat out seven games.  The university did not formally announce his return and
still did not give a reason for his suspension.

The Titans fell below .500 at 4-5 including 0-2 under Alexander and 4-3
for assistant coach and interim boss Jermaine Jackson Sr.  With two straight
wins Toledo became 5-3.
