Tampa Bay blasted five homeruns including a Steven Souza Jr.
Grand Slam to beat the Tigers 9-1 in a Father's Day matinee.

The Rays earned a split of the 4-game series by winning the
final two.  Detroit concluded a 2-4 homestand.

T-Bay knocked Tiger starter Buck Farmer (L, 2-1) off the mound
and back to Toledo in a 5-R/T-3rd that put the score at 7-1.

Logan Morrison started the big fly binge with a 2-out/T-1st
2rHR (#20) off the top railing in front of the RField seats.

Derek Norris led-off the T-3rd with his homer (#8) to LField.
Souza slugged his 1-out G-Slam (HR#13) to the LCField seats
beyond the bullpens to send Farmer to the showers.

Chad Bell delivered 4.2-IP of decent long relief, posting 6-K and
throwing 49 of his 68-pitches for strikes.  However, Evan Longoria
(#10) and Morrison (#21, 2nd of game) hit back-to-back solo shots
with 1-out/T-7th in Bell's final inning of work.

Detroit's lone run came when Alex Avila 1-out singled and scored
from 2Base on a 2-out Justin Upton single to briefly put the B-1st
score at 2-1.

Rays rookie RHander Jacob Faria stayed perfect in his big league
career, improving to 3-0 in three starts/appearances.  Faria went
7-IP to yield 1-R/1-ER on 6-H & 1-W with 9-K.

      TBAY       9-10-0, 4-LOB       (W) Faria, 3-0
      DET         1-6-0, 6-LOB         (L) Farmer, 2-1

Farmer was optioned back to 3A Toledo after the game.  His
replacement, Anibal Sanchez, arrived in the Tiger clubhouse prior
to the game.  Sanchez will be activated to start the opening game
of Detroit's west coast road trip late night Monday at Seattle.
