COMERICA PARK:

The Blue Jays staged a T-9th comeback to defeat Detroit, 7-5 on Tuesday night in Downtown
Detroit.
The Tigers led 3-0 after one-inning and 5-1 by the B-2nd, but the Blue Jays rallied with an
RBI single by Josh Phelps which snapped a 5-all, T-9th tie and produced the winning run.
Catcher Kevin Cash went 4-for-4 with 3-2Bs, 2-RBIs and a run while Phelps & Carlos Delgado
each were 2-for-4 with a R & an RBI each.
For Detroit, Pudge Rodriguez was 3-for-4 with a run and 2-RBIs. Fernando Vina also drove
in a pair, but Detroit's sloppy Grapefruit League defense returned with a trio of errors.
Terry Adams (1-0) got the relief win, Danny Patterson (0-1) the relief loss and Justin Speier (#1)
posted the save.

      TORONTO     7-5-0
      DETROIT       5-10-3

EXTRA-INNINGS:

The Tigs did manage to set a team record of scoring at least five runs in each of their first seven
games as an alleged 8,804 watched at a frozen CoPa.
Two lefties go to the hill in the Wednesday night rematch as Ted Lilly tosses for Toronto and Nate Robinson hurls for Detroit.
