@ LONDON, ONT:

After a 5-4 win at Windsor Thursday, the Whalers completed
a 2-0 road trip with a 4-1 win at London Friday night.
Plymouth's sixth consecutive victory and 10th in 12 games moved the Whalers ahead of the Sarnia
Sting into first place in the OHL-West division.
Although Plymouth outshot London 45-23 including 23-8 in the opening period, the contest was
close until the final minute and a half when Alex Aleardi's unassisted, empty net goal (#12) clinched
the 4-1 win.
Andy Bathgate (#9) gave Plymouth a quick 1-0 lead with a power play goal at 2:55/1. The score
stayed that way until the middle of the middle period.
Rickard Rakell scored twice (#12 & #13) for Whalers at 7:42/2 and 17:54/3.
Chase Hatcher scored his first OHL goal in his second OHL game to briefly get the Knights within
2-1 at 7:26/3.
Plymouth goalie Scott Wedgewood made 22-SV and London netminder Michael Houser had 41 stops.
