ATTACK WINS FIRST BATTLE.....Owen Sound 4, WHALERS 3 (OT), Th 4/7/11

@ OWEN SOUND, ONT:

    Owen Sound rallied from a 3-1/2nd-Per deficit to defeat
Plymouth 4-3 in overtime Thursday night to win game one
of the second round of the OHL playoffs.
    Jesse Blacker's second goal the game and third of the playoffs gave the Attack the comeback
victory at 14:45/4.
    Owen Sound scored the game's last three goals. Liam Heelis (#3) at 10:44/2 and Garrett Wilson
(#4) at 11:09/3 began the counter-Attack.
    James Livingston (#3), Beau Schmitz (#2) and Stefan Noesen (#5) scored for the Whalers and
Tyler G. Brown assisted on all three Plymouth tallies. The first two Whaler markers were on the
power play.
    Plymouth went 2-for-4 and Owen Sound 0-for-4 with the extra man.
    Whalers goalie Scott Wedgewood made 54-SV including 13 in the overtime. The Whalers were
outshot in all four periods.
    Michael Zador was yanked out of the Owen Sound nets after allowing all three Plymouth goals
and making 20-SV in 40-mins. Attack back-up Scott Stajcer was a perfect 14-of-14 the rest of
the way.
    Game two is at Plymouth's Compuware Arena Saturday night.
