Rain claimed the opener of a two-game Downtown Detroit series between
the Tigers and visiting Chicago White Sox.
The third Tiger rainout in 11 days, no make-up date was announced for
Monday night's washout.
Monday's scheduled starting pitchers have been pushed back a day with,
again, weather permitting. Rain is in the forecast for Tuesday's matinee where
Rick Porcello of Detroit (3-3) and ex-Tiger Freddy Garcia of the WSox (2-2)
are the probable pitchers.
After Tuesday the Tigers begin a 7-game, three city west coast road trip.

Recovering from a strained left hamstring, Tiger Carlos Guillen begins a minor
league rehab stint with the 3A Toledo Mud Hens either Tuesday or Wednesday.
The Hens open a 4-game home series vs the Durham Bulls Tuesday night. Guillen
will begin the process of converting to 2Base, a position he hasn't played since 1999.

The Mud Hens beat the rains by playing a morning game in Toledo on Monday, the
first of their several "School Days" 10:30am starts (including two this week).
Toledo shutout Indianapolis 3-0 Monday to win the last three games of the 4-game
series at 5th/3rd Field.
All the runs in the ballgame came on a B-6th, 3rHR by former Tiger Brent Dlugach (#3).
RHP Enrique Gonzalez mowed down the sleepy-eyed Indians hitters to throw a
complete game shutout victory (2-4). Gonzalez allowed only 2-H  1-W & 1-HBP with 9-K.
