    Michigan beat Bemidji State 5-1
Saturday night in the NCAA-D1 men's
ice hockey Sweet 16.
    The CCHA playoff champion Wolverines
will now face CCHA regular season champ
Miami-of-Ohio Sunday night for the right
to advance to the NCAA Frozen Four at
Downtown Detroit's Ford Field on April 8th.
    Michigan took a 2-0 lead Saturday on goals
by Luke Glendening (#7) in the 1st-Per and Louie Caporusso (#21) in the 2nd-Per.
    BSU briefly got within 2-1 on an Ian Lowe (#21) power play goal at 10:24/3. Michigan
responded exactly 2-mins later with the first of two consecutive goals by Carl Hagelin
(#18 & #19), his second coming shorthanded. Hagelin then set up Brian Lebler (#19) for
an empty net clincher at 18:02/3.  
    UM goalie Shawn Hunwick made 26-SV as did his Beavers counterpart Dan Bakala.
    Hunwick is 8-1 since becoming Michigan's starting netminder.  
    Michigan improved to 26-17-1 and Bemidji State finished 23-10-4.
