SCORED A NEW CAREER-HIGH<<

@ CALIHAN HALL:

The Titans fired at will and
outclassed Chicago State 92-72 in a
non-conference men's hoops match-up
Monday night.
Detroit raced to a 54-33 halftime
lead by shooting an amazing 71% (20-of-28) from the field before the break.
The Titans coasted from there with all 12 players who dressed getting on the
scoresheet and usual backups getting lots of playing time. Only two Titan starters
played more than 20-mins and four UDM players scored in double figures.
Reserve Lamar Lee went 4-for-6 from beyond the arc and 3-for-3 at the charity
stripe to get a career-high 15-P. Thomas Kennedy also had 15-P, Xavier Keeling 13-P
and Chase Simon 12-P for UDM.
Carl Montgomery and Kabangu Kasamba did most of the damage for the Cougars
with 20 and 18-P respectively. Christian Wall added 12-P.
    An audience of 1,446 watched.
Detroit improved to 15-10 overall and indie Chi-State fell to 7-18.

QUOTEBOOK...

UDM H-COACH RAY McCALLUM:   "It really helps when you make shots and that
makes your defense better...Six 3's the first half for us, 6-for-9. That's just great
shooting...I thought our bench was really good, I thought our balanced scoring was
really good to see."
