@ SUDBURY, ONT:

The Whalers scored three unansered 3rd-Per goals to
force overtime, then had to go to a shootout for a Friday
night road win at Sudbury, 6-5.
Even the shootout went OT. When neither team tallied
with the first three shots it became sudden death. Whalers
goaler Scott Wedgewood stopped all five Wolves shooters
and Plymouth's Beau Schmitz finally solved Sudbury netminder
Andrew Loverock on Plymouth's fifth attempt.
Tyler Seguin had a Hat Trick (goals #8--10) plus an assist for
Plymouth. Seguin's third goal of the game started the Whaler
3rd-Per comeback. Schmitz (#1, a PPG) and Miles McCauley (#3)
also scored in the 3rd for Plymouth.
Eric O'Dell had two goals (#4 & #5) and an assist, Eddy
Leitans-Rinke a pair of goals (#2 & #3) and Peter Hermenegildo a goal (#2) and an assist for the Wolves.
Sudbury out-shot Plymouth 43-38 in the wide-open affair.
The Wolves were 3-for-8 and the Whalers 1-for-6 in power play attempts.
The decision put Plymouth at 4-2 on the OHL season including 1-1 on the current 5-game road trip.
The Whalers visit Sault Ste. Marie Saturday night.
