PLYMOUTH STUNS STING.....WHALERS 8, Sarnia 3, F 2/20/09

@ SARNIA, ONT:

    The Whalers continued to surge in the OHL-West
standings, scoring an 8-3 win at rival Sarnia Friday
night.
    The victory leap-frogged Plymouth past the Sting
and into second place behind OHL-leading Windsor.
The Whalers have 63 standings points to Sarnia's 62
and Plymouth has a game in hand.
    The Whalers were ahead 5-0 at the end of the 1st-Per,
took a 6-0 lead before the Sting scratched the scoreboard
and Plymouth went 3-for-3 on the power play.
    Plymouth DEF Michal Jordan scored his first career OHL
Hat Trick (#7--#9) and added an assist. Matt Caria and Chis Terry also had 4-pt games,
each with two goals & two assists. Caria now has 22 goals this season and Terry a
team-leading 33.
    Tyler G. B rown (#6) opened the evening's scoring to get the other Plymouth tally.  
A.J. Jenks collected three assists.
    Gregg Sutch (#5 & #6) scored twice for Sarnia with Matt Martin (#30, a PPG) getting
the other Sting goal.
    Whaler goaltender Matt Hackett made 42-V.
    Plymouth concluded a perfect 4-0 road trip and won its sixth straight.
