RIP ROCK STEVENS.....T 9/28/04
Date: 09-28-2004

E-mail to a Friend

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of the late
Scott Neuhardt (1964-2004). Big Scott was better known as Punisher
Rock Stevens, the Motor City Wrestling HWT Champion for almost
seven years.
Scott won the belt beating panerai luminor gmt replica watches Irish Mickey Doyle on a Fourth of July
show at Ladbroke-DRC, Livonia, Mich. in 1993 where an MCW record
crowd of more than 7000 fans attended a wrestling/horse racing
holiday doubleheader. His biggest title defense was in LaSalle, Ont.
where he got the help of Coach Kurt's infamous clipboard to retain his
championship by pinning future Ultimate Fighting Champion Dan
"The Beast" Severn.
Scott was an occasional guest at our mid-1990s Detroit Sports
Broadcasters Association meetings. I'll never forget a January, 1996
meeting at Ginopolis in Farmington Hills where the DSBA presented
Detroit Tigers outfielder Bobby Higginson with the 1995 Tiger Rookie
of the Year Award. Higgy was happy with his hardware, but was more
impressed with the MCW title belt the Punisher wore around his waist.
Higginson spent considerable time chatting with Big Scott after the
Scott's too soon passing was particularly tragic because he'd just
recently regained custody of his young daughter.
Earlier this year Scott was briefly in a coma after a fall down a
flight of stairs. A series of seizures caused by his head injury finally
claimed his life on September 24th during his last hospital stay.
He bloodied me a couple of times in the ring, but I'll best remember
Scott as my bodyguard, my tag team partner and my friend.
